Call Editor RSA™ is a Caller ID device designed to be installed directly on to the Serial Port of a
computer. Call Editor RSA is housed in a small casing similar to that of a 25-Pin RS232 connector.
It is compatible with Caller ID Service of both single-message format and multiple-message format.

It decodes an incoming call’s Caller ID signal for the Date and Time of the call, the Calling Line
Number, and (if available) the Directory Name relative to the Calling Line, then delivers them to the
computer to which it is connected.

FEATURES

Call Editor RSA is able to detect the Off-Hook and On-Hook line condition and provide status
information to the computer. This feature is useful in determining the elapsed time of a call.

Call Editor RSA is also able to receive an instruction from the computer to out-dial a telephone
number in DTMF.

Call Editor RSA is designed for use with a PC as it relies on the PC for processing for its various
operations.

SOFTWARE for use with Call Editor RSA

Connect-ID™ and WindowsHinge™

Connect-ID™
Connect-ID can be used with Call Editor RSA for complete Caller-ID connection and telephone
control for your windows PC. Connect-ID uses the messages reported by the Call Editor RSA to
monitor the phone line and alert you to who’s calling after the first ring. The Connect-ID software
quickly pops up all the caller’s information and builds a log of incoming calls automatically that
allows you to add notes and print reports on phone activity. The Connect-ID software works with
many popular contact management software.

WindowsHinge™
WindowsHinge is an enabling software, running under Windows, that works with Call Editor RSA to
capture the Caller ID data and display them. On an incoming call, WindowsHinge pops up a dialog
box that shows the Calling Line Number, Directory Name, Date and Time of the Call, and the
Elapsed Duration of the Call. WindowsHinge logs all call data to a Call Log file automatically
whether the call is answered or not. You can dial a number from the Call Log file by a click of a
button to instruct Call Editor RSA to outdial the number in DTMF while WindowsHinge pops a dialog
box on the screen to display the call data including the elapsed time of the call.

WindowsHinge integrates readily with ACT! version 2 for Windows and can search the database of
ACT! to find the Contact Name relative to the Calling Line Number captured and to bring the
Contact’s file on to the screen with a click of a button.
